Friends of Musique et Vin au Clos Vougeot, Inc. (FOMV) is a tax-exempt American 501(c)(3) organization, dedicated to the support of promising young musicians around the world through providing funds an instrument loan program, training, awards and travel, which also includes making occasional grants to, and sponsoring the Gala concert and dinner of the annual Musique et Vin au Clos Vougeot festival, held in late June every year (2025 with be the 17th edition).

Promoting a Franco-American cultural partnership has been a cornerstone of the festival since its conception, and FOMV has been an active and engaged nationwide US supporter.

In the fall of 2019, FOMV held its inaugural concert and dinner at the French Consulate in New York City where a portion of the funds raised were used to commission a violin by master luthier Sam Zygmuntowicz; which was then awarded as a loan to the winner (Blaire Kim) of FOMV’s April 2023 Violin Competition at Lincoln Center.

During the height of Covid, in 2020, when all music and cultural institutions in New York City were closed, FOMV held a virtual fundraiser and concert at the Clos de Vougeot, and used proceeds to help support musicians who had lost their income because of the shutdowns.

In 2022 and 2023, FOMV held successful gala dinners and concerts in both New York and San Francisco (with attendance by many prominent Burgundian wine domaines), and is planning a gala dinner and concert in San Francisco in October 2024.

We are very pleased about the success of FOMV & thank you for your support!
