“The Festival” at Clos Vougeot, held each June in Burgundy

Friends of Musique & Vin

Friends of Musique et Vin au Clos Vougeot, Inc. (FOMV) is a tax-exempt American 501(c)(3) organization, dedicated to the support of promising young musicians around the world through providing funds for instruments, training, and travel, which includes making grants to Musique et Vin au Clos Vougeot.
FOMV was founded in 2018 to help support the goals of the French Organization, Musique & Vin au Clos Vougeot in its mission; producing the annual Music & Wine Festival, held each June in Burgundy. Promoting a Franco-American partnership has been a cornerstone of the Festival since its conception, and FOMV has been an active and engaged organization, notwithstanding the interruptions of the pandemic.

In the fall of 2019, FOMV held its inaugural concert and dinner at the French Consulate in New York City where a portion of the funds raised were used to commission a violin by master luthier Sam Zygmuntowicz; which would be awarded to the winner (Blaire Kim) of FOMV’s April 2023 Violin Competition at Lincoln Center.

During the height of Covid, in 2020, when all music and cultural institutions in New York City were closed, FOMV held a virtual fundraiser and concert at the Clos de Vougeot, and used proceeds to help support musicians who had lost their income because of the shutdowns.

In 2022, FOMV held successful gala dinners and concerts in both New York and San Francisco. As a part of its mission, FOMV also provides support to the French non-profit association Musique & Vin au Clos Vougeot (MVCV), including sponsorship of the gala concert in July 2023 as part of MVCV’s annual Festival in Burgundy.

We are very pleased about the success of FOMV & thank you for your support!
